Trinidad & Tobago

The large mbira tines are of 3/4 inch bandsaw blades arranged in two tiers each of whole tones a half step apart from a low B to F in the next octave, supplemented by tines to long to tune. The small tines are 1/8 inch music wire. Each soundboard is amplified by a piezo transducer glued to a refrigerator magnet compressed to the soundboard by a foam padded steel plate.
