Kyzyl Kum

The keys are the same lengths as those of Pig, but are 1/8 x 1 1/2 The body is a 26 1/2 x 8 x 6 x 6 box. The bars (8 7/8 – 12 1/2)hose of Pig, but are 1/8 thick and sound an octave lower. They are held in place by 1/4 roundrod pins sheathed in surgical tubing. They are arranged high-to-low left-to-right, on a carriage of 1/2 x 1/2 barstock with felt weatherstripping glued beneath the bars. The damper is felt weatherstripping glued to 1/2 x 1/4 flatsock attached to 1/2 squarestock arms by threaded 1/4 rod operated by bicycle brake cables at each end that attach to a single pedal. Three 8 1/2 inch single coil pick-ups amplify.
