The 12 strings are are .059 music wire. The tuners are drilled 3/8 x 1 1/2 bolts set in tapped 2 x 1/8 channel locked in place by nuts. The pins are 1/4 bolts set in tapped 2 x 1/8 channel. Owing to the tension of the strings the channels are welded and bolted to the 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 1/4 frame. The sound board is 36 x 13 x 1/8 plate suppoted and damped from beneath by weatherstripping felt glued to the frame and 1/4 x 2 flatstock. The nuts are 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 3/16 anglebar. The moveable bridges are homemade T bar of 1 1/2 x 1/8 welded to 2 x 1/8 channel. The damper bar is weatherstripping felt glued to 1/2 square barstock bolted to 1/2 squarestock control arms operated by bicycle brake cables attached to a single pedal. The strikers are 1/8 rod capped at one end by plastic tubing and the other by surgical tubing. It is amplified by a 8 1/2 inch single-coil pick-up.
